Social networks

I have too many, yet not enough social networks. I have a livejournal account, a flicker account, a myspace account, and a facebook account. Each of these I was introduced to by friends. I don't have a favorite. I used livejournal for writing one post of things happening that all my friends could see. It sort of went to the way side after a while. I joined Flicker to share photos of my artwork with family and friends... it is also a great way to store coppies of photos if you are in the habit of loosing things.. like I am. Myspace was/is used for friends in other states in which I have lived in that I know. I also have some family members on it. Facebook was originally for those of whom I had went to school with. Now it seems anyone can join it. So now I have family on facebook too. Like most, I am addicted to facebook and myspace for the games that they have. (I believe facebook was the first then myspace joined in on the games.) Lately, I have been using facebook alot because through it, old classmates from elementary have found me and have been getting reaquainted again. I have also been able to get in touch with former elementary teachers through facebook. It has been a wild expeirience going down memory lane after 30 plus years!

Turning 40

Wow, today I turn 40 years old. The BIG 4 0. Over the hill. lol. My body may feel like 80 but my heart don't feel 40 and people say I still look mid 20's. (I love those people! lol) I have the two sweetest roomates that cooked me a surprise lunch.Very tasteful! Then for desert Lyn gave me some Vietnamese ginger candy. Thinking it was like American candy I put the whole piece in my mouth, was I wrong! My mouth exploded with flavor and spices! When they saw that I put the whole thing in my mouth they started laughing and told me that I am suppose to eat it in small portions. lol. What a great learning expierence! Wish I didn't have class, but alas I do. I have already received the best birthday gift however. I opened my instalation art show "Manitou" this morning. So far I have been getting great reviews. Not as big of a turn out as I had hoped for, but it was still good. I was surprised to meet a couple of people that heard of the Micmac Indian tribe of Nova Scotia and knew what Manitou meant so they understood the whole show. Well, I guess that be it for now. I can now say that I am current with the times. I have a cell phone, a lab top, and I am now blogging (which doesn't seem to be too much different from livejournal.com). lol. Now all I need is an i-pod! lol... maybe.
